Z is for Zero to Zillion with Zeal

Z is for Zero to Zillion with Zeal

Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than in the time that their corn and their wine increased. (Psalm 4:7)

In the spring we plant the seeds that in summer will become new life that is all around us.We start with nothing, Zero, with Zeal we add nourishment and nurture and soon we have many, a Zillion. God is doing the same thing with us. He starts with nothing, Zero and with Zeal He nourishes and nurtures us until we become all that He wants us to be, a Zillion times past the point where we started. We can do the same when we reach out to others and share the word of God with Zeal. We start at Zero and with Zeal we share His word and someday we reach a Zillion. Proclaim God's word with Zeal and you will feel His gladness in His heart.

Y is for You

Y is for You

Ask and it shall be given you: seek and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. (Luke 11:9)

If God is for You who can be against You. I don't know who the author of that statement is, but whoever it was hit the nail on the head. The thing is we often don't see it that way. We think that since things aren't perfect and mistakenly assume that it is God that has failed us. The truth of the matter is we are the ones causing the disharmony.

God's kingdom is perfect and when we are obediant, honest, orderly and loving then we can attain His perfect kingdom. You can have it all when You let God in. God doesn't fail. He is always there for You.

X is for Xenophobe

X is for Xenophobe

Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost. (Luke 15:6)

Do not fear or hate the strangers, the foreigners. Instead go with God and seek them out. Help to bring them to Christ. There is no need to be a Xenophobe with Jesus by your side. Join Him on His undying quest to find lost sheep. Follow the Master and He will make the strangers family. Xenophobia be gone, Jesus is in the building.

W is for Way, Water and Wait

W is for Way, Water and Wait,

Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed. (John 20:29)

Most of us will never have the opportunity to see Jesus the Way Thomas did, to touch the nail wounds in His hands, the sword wound in His side. We won't actually see the Water gushing from the wound in His side. Yet if we Wait and believe, we will recieve the Water of life and see the Way of God.

We may not see, but we need not doubt like Thomas. For Jesus is the Way, He is the life giving Water for our souls and we not Wait. He is here for us, He will show us the Way.

V is for Valiantly and Victory

V is for Valiantly and Victory

When they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak. (Matthew 10:19)

As a writer for God I sometimes struggle and try to force the words to come. I forget that God will give me the words when I let go and let Him. The times when I relax and let the spirit move me, the words come and the writing becomes almost easy. I am not the only person who tries to stand in God's way, we all do.

We like to think that we can do it all without help, without guidance. We are all powerful and can do anything. Even when our bodies, our minds, our relationships send signals that it's time to let go, we still refuse using platitudes like I've failed, how will other people look at me.

Yet, God wants us to turn to Him. He doesn't see it as failure, instead He sees Victory. Victory for you, Victory for Him. When we don't turn to Him we impede His work in us. We prevent Him from accomplishing all that He wants to accomplish in each and every one of us.

Valiantly rest in God. Don't seek work or make opportunities for Him. Valiantly live with Him and for Him. Let Him seek the work and make the opportunities. Then with Him you will see Victory.

U is for United in God's love

Hi Myrria here today.

I Thought talking a little about being United in God was a good u word for today. In my story Myrria's Legacy when Darby her friends and their parents work together with God a lot of good things happen. I don't want to tell you the ending because I want you to read it someday. However I will tell you that there is a bad dragon trying to take over the world and when he kidnaps Darby, the families, friends and dragons have to Unite with God to save her and the world. The humans learn that when they Unite with God and do His work they can accomplish a lot. (Some of the dragons learn the lesson too.) God will help you accomplish anything when you become United in His Love.

S and T are for Savior and Trust (with a pinch of Satan thrown in)

S and T are for Savior and Trust

All day long I have agonized over an S word for this post and have come up blank. So I'm going to do something a little different here and do a post with both S and T since I suddenly have an inspiration that involves both letters.

We all face challenges from Satan in our lives. The trick to overcoming these challenges successfully is not to turn to man, but to place all our Trust in the Savior. The Savior will travel the rough road with you and will help you over the bumps. Then when you come to the end of your days on earth you can Trust that you will have a home in heaven with the Savior. Trust the Savior

S and T are for Savior and Trust

What am I mad at myself about?

Mama's Losin' It

Oh how to narrow down the list and pick one. I guess it would have to be being stuck in the same uncomfortable place in my marriage. I wonder why I can't change, why I deep doing the same things, making the same mistakes? Am I not committed enough to making a real change? Do I just go through the motions? What steps do I take to change? I beseech God every day and night and still I see no change. Does He hear me? Do I lack faith? Am I weak?
I give advice, have faith, listen to God, remain strong in your faith. How do I take my own advice? I'm not sure how to do it.
When will I change and let this go? When will I stay committed to what I take on?

O is for Overjoyed with a little sadness

Today I think I will  take a little different path today. After two years of trying it looks as if our house in PA will finally sell. It is with a little sadness that I write this. After raising my first three children in houses that were small, well large enough to raise our little family, I was pregnant with my fourth child and we bought a huge house in which we all would have fit very comfortably. The one catch is that of my three grown two of them were already out of the house. So we were moving into this four bedroom house with one teenage daughter and a new infant. We quickly managed to fill the house and fixed it up the way we liked. Then my husband got a new job and we had to move. That was two years ago and in that two years we tried to sell the house, but to no avail. Everything we had done to personalize the house has been undone along with many other repairs to make the house more appealing to buyers.
So anyway today we recieved the first offer on the house and are now playing the offer counter-offer game and we wait. Needless to say we are Overjoyed at the prospect, especially based on what we have endured the last two years. I also feel a little sad. My fourth child was brought home to this house and other than where we are now is the only one she has ever known. When my first granddaughter  was born this was the home she was brought to, since her mother still lived with us. It's also the only home she has ever had. There are a lot of good memories in that house and at one point so much of the work we had done was our signature. So today as I make this post it is Overjoyed with a little sadness as a new chapter in our lives begins. God is good.

L is for Love unconditionally

Yesterday I talked about kids and their ability to trust, to have blind faith, to believe in God. Well they also have another envious trait; They Love everyone without judging them. They don't see the skin color, the political  party, their religious affiliation, none of the things that we adults use to judge people and find them lacking for our love and respect. Like yesterday I repeat the message, we as adults must become more like children and Love everyone with no judgements, no preconcieved notions. Nothing, just simply Love as Jesus did and Love everyone unconditionally.

K is for Kids

I thought it was my turn to take over the ropes of this little blog challenge. I'm so lucky I get to work with Kids exclusively. They are so wonderful to work with. Their belief in God is so pure and untarnished. They believe, I don't know what else to say. Of course they question, but their questions are purely out of a desire to learn, where  adults may want to learn, but  also question because they doubt, because they fear, because they don't believe and don't want to believe. They like to think they have all the answers.

Maybe adults, me and Chris included, need to become more like kids and let God into our lives. Trust, love, believe, have the faith of children.

Thanks for letting me have my say. God Bless you,

Myrria

J is for Journey

We are all on a journey whether we realize it or not. Even if we sit in our family rooms watching tv or reading a book it is part of a journey. All journeys have good days and bad days, days when we want to celebrate and days when we want to start all over again and forget the past. The destination is important, but not always known. What is more important is how we proceed on the journey, where do we go, who do we ask for help, why do we keep moving forward? God is the answer to all of those questions and faith is the Journey with the destination, eternal life with God. Find Joy in the Journey and lean on God to get you down the road.

A is for Amazing

Our God is an Amazing god. On this first day of April as we watch the rebirth of spring and Anticipate the glory of the resurrection we are truly reminded of His Amazing works.

A is for Amazing

Through God's Eyes

”Mama’s

Mama's Losin' It
Through God's Eyes

“Sometimes when it’s hard to see with the eyes I’ve been given, I strap on my camera and pray for new ones. I did that yesterday. It helped.”

(inspired by Emily from Chatting At The Sky)

I have the same problem with my eyes. Over the years I have discovered though that just a change in perspective, a change in my viewpoint, the angle at which I am looking at something can make all the difference. A while ago I wrote an article about this phenomenon. Here is an excerpt that totally tells you what I mean.

Near where we live there is an old tree with a large nest, an eagle’s nest. It seems it has been there for a long time and every spring the eagles return and lay eggs while the locals flock to take rare photos of the eagles.

The other day I was driving down the road to another destination and while driving I was looking for the nest, not knowing its exact location. I arrived at my destination, having not seen the nest. On my return trip, now travelling in the other direction, and what do I see practically jumping out of the tree at me, the nest. A different Perspective.

It’s the same with life, if we take a situation and look at it from another angle, through the lens of a camera, through God’s eyes, the picture changes and we see things in a whole new light.
